Mer-caque in the kelp forest

A semi-aquatic monkey species that has left life in the trees and adapted to live off of the sea. Back feet and tail have widened and flattened with an elongated waist for streamlined swimming. Long and sensitive whisker-like hairs allows Mer-caques to feel the vibrations and movement in the water in order to hunt fish.

Crab-eating macaques and sea otters were used as real-world reference for anatomy.
